Lucky Strike

Day 01 Title Bar

Our fifth day in Miami was ordained as a day of rest, and what says relaxation better than tenpin bowling? Along with some of the biggest names in dance music HigherFrequency headed down to the Lucky Strike bowling alley to kick back and do a little for charity at the same time. As was previously reported the good people at Involved gathered their nearest and dearest DJ friends together, strapped on slightly malodorous footwear and rolled weighted balls down a long plank of wood.

If the moral satisfaction of donating money to UNICEF wasn't enough for those whom had donated money to take part, then the artist turn out definitely was. The group's well documented familial connection to Sasha meant that there was no shortage of superstars embarrassing themselves with gutter balls galore. James Zabiela, Deep Dish, Nick Warren, Pete Tong, Hernan Cattaneo, Sander Kleinenberg, Damian Lazarus, Luciano and Desyn Masiello all took to the lanes with very little evidence that any are considering leaving the music industry for the more glamorous world of bowling.

While Involved and all the DJs who helped out on the day showed that bowling isn't really their forte, they did manage to succeed at aiding UNICEF in their efforts. As well as the day's ten pin merriment there were numerous WMC related fundraising auctions that helped stockpile the cash for the children in need. But of course there is always more that can be done, and Involved will always be there to tempt you to give up that hard earned cash for someone who actually needs it more.

With many pleasant memories of a week in the sun, some vivid and others a little foggier, it was time to head back to Miami airport to begin the marathon journey home. This time there would be no business cards or zealous banter, just sleep.
