The Prodigy Bootlegged

Riding high at the top of the UK charts with their first album since 1997's Fat of the Land, The Prodigy made an explosive return to the electronic music world on the 23rd August with their latest release on XL recordings, Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned.

The album, that features collaborations with some very big name music and film celebrities such as Oasis's Gallagher brothers and Juliette Lewis, sees the Prodigy returning to their best with 12 tracks of hard breakbeat that characterises their well known sound.

On the same day as the launch however an unofficial remix version of the album went online featuring modified mashup's of the original album tracks by some of the UK's most prolific bootleggers. The album, cheekily titled 'Always Outsiders, Never Outdone' is available now online for download.

Given away freely to fans the sites founders do however ask that any one who downloads and keeps the album make a donation to one of the bootleggers chosen charities, Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy, Warchild or Amnesty International.

Still online more than a week after launching the site may have had an unofficial nod of approval from Prodigy mastermind Liam Howlett. Speaking earlier this year to the UK's DJ mag Liam praised musical innovation, "it's important to be brave with music. People who are scared of change never move forward."
