Fabric Turns Deep Black

Text by Nick Lawrence (HigherFrequency)

If you've played your copy of Wiggle's "Fabric 28" to death and you've lent Evil Nine's Fabriclive CD to a mate then it is time to start getting excited about the next installment in the series. This time it is brothers Ali and Basti Schwarz, known on the circuit as Tiefschwarz, who jump into the mix with very minimal beginnings thanks to Troy Pierce's Louderbach alias and plenty of electro basslines further into the disc.

Tiefschwarz were catapulted into the spotlight not too long ago with their crossover remix of Spektrum's 'Kinda New' but it isn't just their remixes that have caught the attention of club goers. They released a new album late last year called "Eat Books" which featured the infectious vocals of The Rapture's Matt Safer on a little track named 'Warning Siren' that sent dancefloors wild.

Thanks to their recent successes as producers the Berlin loving brothers have been touring their DJ act non stop, with plenty of dates planned for Space in Ibiza this summer as well as a set at the I Love Techno festival alongside electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk.

"Fabric 29" mixed by Tiefschwarz is set for release sometime next month and look out for Aussie boys Cut Copy's Fabriclive offering in August.
