Giles Peterson Worldwide Winners Poll Results.

The results of the Worldwide Winners Poll conducted by BBC Radio 1 jock Giles Peterson was announced last week (15th December) during an awards ceremony at east London club Cargo.

No real surprises with the winners given it was Giles jazz enthused listeners that did the voting, Bugz in the Attic came top of the All Winners Chart with their 'Booty La La' on V2, an album that has helped the Bugz shoot back to the forefront of the broken beat scene while Album of the Year went to Planetlife for 'The Return of Jack Splash'.

The ceremony which included performances from Bugz in the Attic, Sa-Ra, Brownswood and of course Giles himself was recorded and broadcast as part of Giles's weekly show is still available online at the BBC Radio 1 homepage.
