Ken Ishii 15周年企画CD 2タイトル同時リリースへ

Ken Ishii が国内デビュー15周年を記念し、自身初のベスト盤となる "KI15 - The Best of Ken Ishii" と、リミックスと未発表曲をコンパイルした "The Works + The Unreleased & Unexpected" の2タイトルを、11月25日(水)同時リリースすることが決定した。

ベスト盤の "KI15 - The Best of Ken Ishii" には、初期の代表曲として名高い 'Pneuma' や、PVが大きな話題を呼び、Ken Ishii の名を一躍有名にしたヒット曲 'Extra'、新宿高島屋のCMソングとして使用された 'Circular Motion'、長野オリンピックの世界公式テーマ曲 'Fire In White'、映画『ホワイトアウト』のテーマ曲として制作した 'Iceblink' など、代表曲多数がしっかりと収録されている。一方、"The Works + The Unreleased & Unexpected" では、初期の Ken Ishii における代表的なリミックス曲である電気グルーヴの 'N.O.' や、今でも傑作の一つとして挙げられる、ボアダムズの音源をカットアップして再構築した 'Rebore vol.2'、藤原ヒロシのシングル 'Sametape?' 、デトロイト・テクノのカリスマ、Derrick May　のアンセム 'The Beginning' のリミックス、そして極めつけは、問題作とされベルギーのレーベルR&Sからリリースされなかった幻のシングル 'Once In A Lifetime' などが収録されており、2作とも Ken Ishii を知る入門編として、ビギナーにも最高の内容に仕上がっている。
今週末11月14日（土）には、ageHa にて石野卓球、Derrick May ら豪華ゲストを迎えた15周年記念イベント『KEN ISHII 15TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL』も控える Ken Ishii から今後も目が離せなさそうだ。
