Marco Carola's "Fabric 31" might not have even made its way to your local record store just yet but it is already time to start talking about the upcoming "Fabriclive 31" from Belgium misch masch DJing duo the Glimmers. Mo and Benoelie of the Glimmers have selected eighteen tracks that typify their long running careers and have been purposefully chosen in an attempt to create a timeless mix. The Glimmers found their musical footing in the same region of the world as Soulwax (aka 2ManyDJs) and were pushing the Belgian New Beat sound throughout the late 80's and early 90's. Tracks included on "Fabriclive 31" by Freddie Mercury, Mekon and LCD Soundsystem all tell of these musical backgrounds grounded in an openness to all genres. As well as recent remixes of acts like Grand National and New Order you should have heard the Glimmer name mentioned alongside !K7's infamous "DJ Kicks" compilation series.
