Jimmy Van M's Three Disc Journey

In the past EQ Recordings has entrusted their Balnce series to the likes of Desyn Masiello, James Holden and Chris Fortier. This time, for the landmark tenth release, the Aussie label has selected Jimmy Van M and his many years of experience to take control of this three CD offering. This mammoth collection of music mixed by Jimmy Van M comes five years after the release of his 2001 Bedrock mix CD.
"Balance 010" is broken up into three mixes that reflect Jimmy's downtempo, midtempo and uptempo moods. Van M's love for IDM duo Boards Of Canada is made abundantly clear as is a liking of pretty much everyone else on the legendary Warp label, with Autechre, Future Sound Of London and Aphex Twin all being included. On the uptempo side of things DJ T & Booka Shade, 16 Bit Lolotas and Nummer-Schallplatten's San Lebowski all make an appearance making this a rather difficult release to define in terms of genre.
“Balance 010” will be relased by EQ Recordings on October 9th.
