Out And About In Singapore

Text by Nick Lawrence (HigherFrequency)

Singaporeans are currently waiting with baited breath for December 9 this year when once again they can head to the beach for the ZoukOut festival. You might not be able to chew chewing gum or spit on the street but one thing the Singaporean government will allow you to do is rock out to the sounds of Steve Lawler, Matthew Dekay and Ferry Corsten.

Being held for the sixth time, the largest event in South East Asia is aiming to better its record breaking 18,000 ZoukOut revelers from last year’s event. In a effort to do so the Zouk promoters have enlisted a varied range of entertainment for the day with Will Smith’s compatriot Jazzy Jeff, techno aficionado Ben Sims and New jersey boy Kerri Chandler all making the trip to the island city-state for the day’s frivolity.

ZoukOut will be held at Siloso Beach, Sentosa on December 9.

Lineup :
Ferry Corsten, Steve Lawler, Soulwax presents NiteVersions (Live) & 2ManyDJs, Jazzy Jeff, Matthew Dekay, The Cuban Brothers, Ben Sims, DJ Pippi, Kerri Chandler, Aldrin, Andrew Chow, Brendon P, DJB, Jeremy Boon, Tony Tay, Sonny, Mambo Jambo, Astreal, Electrico, Futon, Plain Sunset, Stars Don’t Fall, The Great Spy Experiment
