Kraftwerk Love Techno

Text by Nick Lawrence (HigherFrequency)

Seminal electronic music group Kraftwerk will be joined by a list of considerably more contemporary artists in celebrating there love for techno at I Love Techno in Belgium. Among the acts joining the ageing techno pioneers will be Tiefschwarz, Technasia and Motor, a duo who worked on a remix of the theme song for recent Godzilla movie "Final Wars".

Last year the Belgian event celebrated its 10th anniversary in style with approximately 35,000 loved up clubbers dancing to the sounds of Richie Hawtin, Sven Vath, Miss Kittin, Derrick May and Underworld. This lineup and crowd size is a far cry from the events first outing in 1995 when 700 people turned up to show their support of the dance music genre.

Techno fans predominantly from France, Belgium and Germany will be making their yearly pilgrimage to Flanders Expo in Gent on Saturday October 21st.

Presale tickets for the event will be available from June 3. Check the official site for full details.
