Bloc Party Cross the Line

Text by Nick Lawrence (HigherFrequency)

If you are lucky enough to be in London for the bank holiday weekend this year (August 26th & 27th for all the non-Brits) then your best bet is to head down to Kings Cross Freight Depot. Instead of the usual drifters to be found in abandoned goods' yards on this weekend nomads of a different kind will be found, musicians. For the third glorious year the TDK Cross Central will return to the cobblestones of London. To get your mouths watering, and your wallets open, the organizers have released the first round of artists to be playing across stages sponsored by the likes of Circo Loco and Secretsundaze.

Powering the good fight for eclecticism will be Sasha, Joey Negro and Andrew Weatherall who will be DJing alongside bands like The Research, Good Books and Ladytron. Really crossing the border at this event is Bloc Party who will not be appearing armed with guitars but with headphones and decks, perhaps a little fatigued from working on their new album which is expected to be released at the end of this year.

Earlybird tickets are now on sale through Ticket Web for the discount price of 20 pounds per day.
