samurai.fm First New Music Of 2005-01-03

In what will surely be the best year yet for Japan's favourite and internationally renowned electronic music radio station samurai.fm there's a whole treat of new shows from some of the coolest artists from around the world, and they're starting as they mean to go on with the first update of 2005, lots and lots of wicked new music.

First up is a show from a man who needs no introduction DJ Sneak. Part of the second wave of producers from the Chicago house scene his work with producers like Derrick Carter has played a major influence in the development of the international house scene.

Next is another major figure in the global dance music scene, hailing from Germany but now spending most of his time darting around the world Timo Maas giving us a very special two show treat, one cool electro show featuring some classic Timo remixes and the next a tech house mashup.

Santos, on of the hottest break beat producers at the moment is up next and as a special taste of what to expect when he hits Tokyo this weekend to play at Ageha we have a exclusive mix recorded live at Italy's best known breaks event. A massive hit at Fuji Rock last summer, listen to this and you'll hear why.

Next a young prot g from Ben Watt's (Everything But The Girl) label, Buzzin Fly, DJ Will. The label that won this years House Music Award for best new label has been constantly producing track after track of quality house music and Will is a consistent source of the labels success.

Lastly 2 shows recorded on the dancefloor of La Fabrique in Shibuya, Tokyo at a party quickly getting a name for quality house music, Solid. Featuring 2 of Chicago's finest Johnny Fiasco and DJ Heather you can really feel the energy and excitement from the club coming across in the music you'll hear.

Coming up on samurai next update will be an exclusive mix from Ian O Brien, a showcase from one of America's hottest electronica labels Ghostly and yet another quality breaks mix from Adam Freeland's Marine Parade label, the breaktastic Evil 9 Stay tuned! (Matt Cheetham)
