JAPANESE DISK REVIEW

DJ Garth CHART

When asked the perennial question journalists ask DJ’s about their style, Hector Romero replied: “I play the best of all genres of dance music.” Romero’s DJ career is watched over by Def Mix where Hector has worked for the past 10 years. He plays North America and Europe, and was invited to Japan for the first time in early 2006. His notoriety as one of the most exciting DJ’s has brought him to many of the great world clubs, Pacha Ibiza, Stereo Montreal, Sonic, Toronto, Echoes Italy, Pacha Marrakech, Gallery in Zagreb, and on and on…

As the Label Manager and A&R for SAW Recordings he has proven himself to be a good businessman, handling the day-to-day workings behind a desk. Hectors plan for the future is to grow as an executive for the SAW label. “Since I don’t remix or produce, being a business person Monday through Friday is also my love and passion,” he expounds. 2007 Hector Romero will balance weekend DJ’ing bringing the funkiest songs to the dance floor and his duties as the Label Manager and A&R at SAW Recordings with friend and business partner Satoshi Tomiie.
