Jonty Skrufff spins dirty rocking electro-disco-tech, playing regular international guest slots everywhere from Brazil (Gloria) and China (Hong Kong's Volar) to the Czech Republic (Elektra) as well as being a resident DJ at UK polysexual institution DTPM (at London superclub Fabric).
A regular guest at London's coolest alternative, mixed clubs including Trailer Trash and mad tranny fetish institution Kaos, he also DJs in many of Europe's hippest alternative destinations including Berlin (Club Rio), Paris (Le Paris Paris) and Madrid (Club Specka) as well as at Serbia's upcoming Exit Festival, in Novi Sad this July.
Alongside his thriving DJ career (last year he also played Ministry, Turnmills, The End's AKA and Heaven) Jonty continues to run his hugely credible alternative press agency Skrufff.com and e-zine Skrufff-E, which marks its 5 year birthday in June with 3 parties at Trailer Trash, Family and DTPM. He also produces and presents the Skrufff Show on Ministry Of Sound Radio which Ministry recently selected as one of their key new weekly live shows for when the station goes digital this June.
"The digital change means the station is becoming available to a much larger audience of satellite TV viewers and we're delighted to include the Skrufff Show in the new schedule, both for the variety and quality of the music Jonty plays and the alternative, cutting edge vibe he brings," said new Ministry of Sound Radio chief Ollie Emden.
"The Skrufff Show is unique to our schedule and already very popular with listeners and we're looking forward to developing both the show and the station to the next level in the coming months and beyond."
Jonty also started producing music last year, teaming up with mash-up king IDC to deliver the Metrosexual mix of Futon's underground club anthem Gay Boy, and more recently hooking up with John Punx Soundcheck' Taylor to work on brand new material and remixes.
